rafting adventure

I’ve been introduced to snapchat and while I don’t fully understand it – it’s kinda fun.

This weekend was an awesome adventure with my favorite people. My sister and friends surprised me with a half day of river rafting and a night out in Bellingham – complete with snacks and lots of dancing. I could get use to having all these ladies together more often. I’m still exhausted and a little sore from laughing.

Now the countdown to the wedding begins. Less than four weeks to go! Like woah.

happy 4th!

This 4th we’re (kiiiind of last minute) pulling together a little BBQ and having friends over to our place. I’m hoping to keep it pretty low key. No fancy styled dessert bar or anything like that but lots of friends, beer and lawn games.

THEN, two of my best friends and bridesmaids will be in Seattle this weekend and a bunch of us are heading out of town for my bachelorette celebration. I have no idea what is in store for me (my sister has been keeping it all pretty hush hush) but I can’t wait to have all my favorite ladies in one place for a couple days. It will be a good escape from some real life stuff that has been nagging at me for a while now. Nothing bad – just stuff to contemplate and work through and, who better to hash things out with than your closest people?

happy summer solstice

It doesn’t quite feel like summer here in the great NW but we all know that’s because summer doesn’t officially start until after July 4th. It’s a fact…a sad, sad fact.

I’m kicking off the weekend by cleaning out our old apartment (glamorous, no?). We’re also doing a walk-through of our wedding venue and having dinner with a friend. Saturday i’m having a slumber party with one of my BFFs which will involve nail polish, wine, and lots of catching up – so basically, the perfect evening.

This week I made it to two crossfit classes and practiced yoga once which feels like a HUGE win. I need these things in my life more regularly.

Here are a few other things that have been making my week:

this shirt is so rad and on it’s way to me as we speak. i may never take it off.

my new hamsa necklace from The Neshama Project

it’s gorgeous and i love the meaning behind it

these drawings of rainy windshields by elizabeth patterson spoke to my seattleite heart
